Our History

Migallos • Luna was established in August 2006.

Prior to its establishment, Barbara Anne C. Migallos and Troy A. Luna practiced law together for almost twenty years, in partnership with the late Senator Raul S. Roco, a highly respected lawyer and legislator, in a law firm that bore their names.

Migallos graduated from the College of Law of the University of the Philippines (Salutatorian; cum laude) and ranked 3rd place (90.3%) in the 1979 Bar Examinations. She was with Angara Abello Concepcion Regala and Cruz (ACCRA) for seven years, where she was recognized as a litigator and a member of that firm’s Litigation Group. She was also active in commercial and corporate law. She left ACCRA late in 1986 to set up a new firm with Senator Roco.

Luna joined them in January 1987, after graduation from the Ateneo de Manila College of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Ateneo Law Journal. He quickly honed his skills as a litigator, and then developed expertise in corporate and commercial law and intellectual property law.

Migallos and Luna were responsible for the corporate and commercial law practice of their former firm, where they both also served as Managing Partners, and handled mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and banking and other financial transactions. Luna also headed its Intellectual Property practice. At the same time, they continue to apply their litigation skills, handling complex commercial and corporate law litigation.

In Migallos • Luna, they continue their working partnership united by unwavering commitment to the principle that a law firm’s primordial concern and mission must be to give solid, quality legal service with uncompromising fidelity to client interest.
